The KJNC sent four junior teams comprising 40 girls aged between 12 to 15 years old to the annual PGL netball tournament near Shrewsbury over the whole weekend of 13th to 15th May 2022.

The tournament is fiercely competitive and attracts many of the best netball clubs from around the North West and the West Midland regions.

All four teams did tremendously well and, for all of them, it was their first and most enjoyable experience of such an exhausting event.

In particular, older Dynamos team, having already won their 6 league matches over the weekend, were successful in getting through to and winning their semi-final match and only just lost by a few goals in their finals match to secure their well-deserved silver medals.

The teams were incredibly well supported and encouraged to be both highly competitive and to enjoy themselves by a handful of adult volunteer coaches and team managers who were on duty 24/7 and the club is very grateful to them for giving up their weekend.

KJNC is a long-established netball club in the heart of the Knutsford community with over a hundred players from the ages of 5 to 16 years old and who regularly train at the Knutsford Leisure Centre.

The volunteer coaching adults are all England Netball qualified who are most ably supported by highly competent, volunteer parent team managers whenever the individual teams play competitive netball matches, such as at the Stockport Ball Hall where the teams all play in competitive leagues every Sunday.
